Titleist NXT:
I used to play TopFlite XL3000s, but after a stint on the computer in the practice cage I tried the Titleist NXT & NXT Tour balls. I liked them both instantly. Although I'm not the biggest hitter out there, they seemed to jump off the clubface and give me a bit more distance. But I really became sold on them one day while practicing my putting.
I dropped a half-dozen balls onto the green and began to putt them toward the hole... I putted the first one... then the second... all the time listening to the solid "tap" of my putter against Titleist NXTs. But the third ball made a very hollow "click" as I struck it. This caught my attention and I retrieved the ball, only to find it was one of my old TopFlite XL3000 Super Feel balls.
I was so surprised that I repeated alternating between it and my NXTs until I was sure of this fact: the NXT has a much better feel coming off the putter face than the TopFlite (the ball I had been playing for the preceeding 12 months).
It confirmed my feeling that I'd made the right decision when I switched balls.
